  • 12/29/15 - Update: Connect maintenance changed to Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015. Adobe Connect will be down and unavailable all day for maintenance. 
    Also, Network Maintenance on 12/22/15 beginning at 5 PM for approx. 1 hour. Connect will be unavailable during this time
  • 9/28/15 - Emergency Connect Maintenance  
    In order to address a major issue with the Adobe Connect service, there is a need to conduct some emergency maintenance with the service Monday, Sept. 28 beginning at approximately 12:00 noon. While the maintenance window may require a couple of hours, it is anticipated that there will only be one or two brief interruptions to service.  Should a user be dropped from a connection, they should be able to reconnect within a few minutes.We apologize for any inconvenience this maintenance will cause.

  • 9/25/15 - UMConnect 7.5 is discontinued as of Sept. 25, 2015. Login to UMConnect is no longer available to METNET and COMET users (MnSCU). Use Connect 9 to create and host new meetings. Login link on Manage Account page. 
     
     
  • UMConnect 7.5 will be discontinued Sept. 25, 2015. Host meetings in Connect 9.
     
  • Adobe Presenter is no longer included with Connect licensing. Users who wish to continue using Presenter will need to purchase their own license from Adobe. Adobe Presenter 10 was released and is capable of publishing to YouTube and Vimeo video sharing sites.

  • 7/27/15 - Adobe Connect 9 will have server maintenance FRIDAY, August 7, 2015 and will be unavailable from 8 AM - 12 Noon. Should this time window present a concern, please contact METNET no later than Monday, August 3 at 612-625-1776 or via e-mail at METNET-CONNECT@umn.edu.

  • 3/02/15 - Adobe Connect 9 users: Get the most current Connect Add-in and instructions to manually update.

  • 2/16/15 - Adobe Connect 9 will have server maintenance SUNDAY FEB. 24, and will be unavailable all day.
     
  • 1/12/15 - Adobe Connect 9 will have server maintenance MONDAY JAN. 12, 10 PM - TUESDAY, JAN. 13 8 AM. 
    Connect should be available but there could be an unexpected interruption of service.
  • 12/22/14 - Adobe Connect 9 was upgraded to version 9.3
    This version includes a new meeting add-in. Once version 9.3 is installed, you will likely be prompted to install the new add-in when you open a meeting or begin sharing in a meeting.   • 12/01/14 - On Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, Adobe Connect 9 will be down and unavailable all day for an upgrade to version 9.3.
    This version includes a new meeting add-in. Once version 9.3 is installed, you will likely be prompted to install the new add-in when you open a meeting or begin sharing in a meeting.   • 9/29/14 - Connect 9 will be Unavailable Wednesday morning, Sept. 30, 4 - 6 AM.  Network service will be done during this time.
  • 8/25/14 - Connect 9 will be Unavailable from Thursday morning, August 28, 4 - 6 AM.  Network service on a network hub will shutdown internet service during this time.
  • 8/14/14 - Adobe Connect 9 is now available to institutions associated with the METNET and COMET regions of The Learning Network of Minnesota. The SHOT region is administering the server and also has Connect users from their region.  
    Users - Begin hosting Connect meetings in Connect 9 immediately. MnSCU StarID is used for Connect 9 login. The Connect 9 account becomes active the first time the user logs in. 
    Meetings and Content from the UMConnect system won't be migrated to Connect 9. Users will need to create new meetings in Connect 9. Users will be able to download their content from UMConnect, such as meeting recordings, if they wish to save them. UMConnect 7.5 will be discontinued Sept. 25, 2015.
  • 5/25/14 - Connect Unavailable Sunday, May 25, 2014, 6 AM - Noon. Maintenance will be performed.
  • 1/4/14 - 1/5/14 - Connect Unavailable during annual Data Center maintenance outage. Saturday, January 4, 6 AM. Restoration of service begins Sunday, January 5, 6 AM. All affected services expected to be restored by Sunday, January 5 at Noon. Outage is required to perform necessary maintenance, testing, and repairs to facility infrastructure and involves complete shutdown of the main data center resulting in interruption of IT services during scheduled time.
  • 1/1/13 - Connect Unavailable 1/5 - 1/6/2013 - Annual data center maintenance outage, scheduled for 6 AM Saturday, Jan. 5, with restoration scheduled to begin at 6 AM Sunday, Jan. 6. All services are expected to be restored by noon on Sunday, January 6. The outage is required in order to perform necessary maintenance, testing and repairs to facility infrastructure, and involves a complete shutdown of the main data center in WBOB. As a result, there will be an interruption to many IT services during that time. It is expected that all affected services will be restored by noon Sunday.
